Description (Service)

Provides support to help newcomers, immigrants, and protected persons (formerly known as refugees) to connect to the community and support their overall emotional and social wellbeing through individualized support and community programming

  • Services include:
    • individual counselling to culturally diverse clients with migration and culture-related issues
    • Outreach groups including Coffee & Craft Club, Conversation Circle, Scrabble Club, etc. (see website and social media for current programming and schedules)

This is not a crisis service

  • Newcomers, immigrants, protected persons and international students aged 12+
  • Younger children are welcome within a family context under the supervision of their participating adult(s)

Languages Spark'd is delivered directly in English, Portuguese, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi. Services are provided in all other languages via interpretation services.
